It’s time once again to make all sorts of “writerly” plans—what we are going to work on, when we are going to work on it, and what we hope the outcome will be.
For some of us, our writing is strictly an income source, for others it is a way to explore our thoughts and emotions, both past and present, to create a future that is what we desire.
And for the rest of us, writing is both a source of money and a creative outlet. We write not only because we have bills to pay and writing is our occupation but also because to not write is frustrating and unfulfilling.
With that in mind, I would like to open the (virtual) floor and ask what your plans are for 2008. Will you be pitching magazine articles or writing essays? Is this the year you’ll finally start working on your book or is your goal to create more short stories?
And how will you fit your writing plans into your life? What secrets can you share with the rest of us about making time for your writing?
Take a moment and share your writing goals and how you plan to achieve them. And if you have a great way to steal extra minutes (or hours!) for your writing, tell us that too! Happy New Year!
